The list is series archive. JETA series is outdated and has been replaced by JETA-LP series.
The series of standard JETAs are AC/DC “low cost” converters in metal cases. The series replaces the units of previous generations: JETA60 – JETA1200 retaining pin-out and footprint dimensions. Also replaces TESA40 – TESA1000.
AEPS-group series JETAs are to designed for input range of 230 (182-242 VAC) and 230W (100-242 VAC) 50-60 Hz, with 264 VAC 1s transient. Custom models may be produced on request to operate with 400 Hz mains and also 115 VAC input. DC input use of any polarity is possible in range of 140-342 VDC for 230W range.
JETAs series consist of fan-less units JETAs60, JETAs120, JETAs300, JETAs700 and JETAs1200. The numbers signify maximal power output in Watts, however to ensure long term reliability one should choose coefficient of loading in 0.6 to 0.8. And so the units of the series are optimized for average output power of 50, 100, 250 and 1000 Watt correspondingly.
Electrical features: single output JETAs300 – JETA1200 units utilize synchronous rectification up to output voltage of 24 VDC, which significantly increases their efficiency. Also some models offer isolated dual outputs, which creates unique possibility of achieving four schematic connections: independent dual outputs, parallel-connected dual outputs, series-connected outputs to create high voltage output and common ground dual outputs. Except for JETA60s and JETAs120 all other models provide PFC.
Constructional features: JETAs units are designed to be extremely compact in combination with high efficiency. This allows the units to achieve very high power density up to 28 W/inch3. Aluminum or copper case base includes stiffening ribs and also serves for conductive cooling. Considering that all components significant in weight are connected to the base and submerged in hardened heat-transfering potting – resistance to and durability against mechanical stress are quite high.
JETA-LP units are most utilized in application fields 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10 – for aerial objects at heights up to 15 km in unsealed spaces: planes, helicopters, drones, hot air balloons and gliding devices, meteoprobes. Also applied in all types of land transport – railway locomotives and wagons, cars, tracked vehicles. The units are also fit to operate for supercomputers, radars and informational displays and screens, located in outdoors conditions. At the same time, JETA-LP units operate in Arctic and Antarctica, in mountains at all heights and in cold or hot deserts etc.
